Travel Back In Time - Brasserie Zedel

When you walked into Brasserie Zedel, it feels that you are back in the 1930s. The extravagant French decoration in the restaurant is magnificent. We were recommended by a friend to visit this restaurant by the price and deco.

We sat down looking at the menu which they had provided, the 2 courses - £ 8.95 and 3 courses - £11.75. We couldn’t believe how reasonable priced it was.

Terrine au Jambon £5.50 Terrine, it came with onion jam. It didn’t come with bread hence we have to order bread for the table.

Six Escargots au Beurre Persillé £8.75 we ordered the snails with herbed butter, it came without the shell of the snail and it tasted wonderful with the right combination of herbs and salt. We liked it.

Filet de Loup de Mer, Pommes Ecrasées £14.75 - Seared sea bass with crushed potatoes andpousse spinach

Tarte Tatin (pour deux) per person £6.00

We also ordered the Formule menu which cost £19.75

Céleri Rémoulade - A tasty raw vegetable salad

Boeuf Bourguignonou Ile Flottante- Beef stew that was average, it was just average

Maquereau Grillé - Grilled mackerel

Ile Flottante - Floating Island

Verre de Vin Maison - House wine

Eau, Café

If you are in London and looking for a reasonable priced place with extravagant interior deco. Brasserie Zedel will be the place to be.
